Charlotte Mecklenburg is an active, vibrant, diverse community that promotes collective and individual responsibility for wellness and fosters safe, healthy and substance abuse free lifestyle for children and adults.

Mission Statement

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Drug Free Coalition collaboratively promotes data-driven awareness, knowledge-based action and purposeful advocacy to reduce the harmful impacts of alcohol and other drug abuse and addiction on youth, families and the community.

Our ChairmanThe work of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Drug Free Coalition is made possible through the volunteer efforts of many people and agencies. The Coalition is piloted by an Executive Committee who is responsible for soliciting grants and funding. See the History section for more information on how the Coalition came to existence.
