McLeod Center's Structured Adolescent Services offers a continuum of care that allows the client to move in and out of various treatment programs without interruption.
With a unique blend of substance abuse treatment and counseling, school and health education, the continuum of care provided by the adolescent program at McLeod Center addresses critical and basic behaviors such as problem solving skills, relationships, family systems, self esteem, anger management, conflict management, social skills and communication.
McLeod Center's Adolescent Program offers two 5-bed group homes setting for males ages 13 to 17 years of age. The program is designed to be 18 weeks in length, however, individual needs are assessed and the length of stay adjusted accordingly. The adolescent program includes addictive disease education, individual and group counseling, and family counseling.
Adolescent Intensive Outpatient and Day Treatment are also offered at McLeod Center. These programs allow the adolescent the comfort of staying at home while they receive the education and counseling they need to deal with their addiction. There is also an aftercare program.
McLeod Center is equipped with an official Charlotte Mecklenburg School on site. The teacher/student ratio, approximately 1 teacher to every 8 students, is remarkably low to provide more personal instruction.
