PROGRAMS OFFERED:
Medical detoxification, 24 hour nursing care, introduction to 12-step recovery through educational groups and materials are offered. Aftercare planning and referrals are also available.
ADMISSON REQUIREMENTS:
Admission arrangements are made on an individual basis. All patients must meet the necessary criteria for medical detox. These are based on the substance used, how much, how often as well as the patient’s medical and physical history.

TARGET POPULATION: Adult substance abusers
SERVICES PROVIDED: Social model and non-hospital medical detoxification (residential) in a 44 bed program providing services which provide social support and other services to individuals who are experiencing physical withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs. Individuals receiving this service need a structured residential setting but are not in need of hospital services. A contract physician is available as needed, including most weekends. A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides oversight for both programs. A certified clinical supervisor is on site during the day and is available as needed through the clinician on call for that day, 24 hours a day. Services include comprehensive substance abuse assessments, basic substance abuse education, individual counseling, medication administration and referral to the next appropriate level of treatment. The Center accepts individuals under petition for involuntary commitment.
LENGTH OF PROGRAM:
Up to 7 days for detox or until physically stable
REFERRAL SOURCE/PROCESS: Self- referrals and referrals from community agencies accepted. May access services directly 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at 429 Billingsley Road or indirectly by calling Screening and Triage at (704) 336-6404 Monday through Friday from 8 Am to 5 PM.
